Morning solitude

In this season of Lent, I am appreciating very much the morning solitude.  It seems like life has become more demanding that ever before.  I tried watching two music videos my beloved had shared with me and could not focus on them.  That seems to be the pattern lately.  I know that a complete overhaul of how I have been doing life is crying out to be dealt with.  Time set apart would do me a whole lotta good right now.  An all expense paid two week retreat with calm, beautiful nature, vegan cuisine, massage, hydrotherapy and a little more would be highly welcomed hahaha.

Until then, I have been intentionally waking up 15 minutes earlier than usual for the past few months, in order to savor the morning solitude.  Today is one of those mornings.  Just the smell of freshly brewed ground coffee beans, the buzz of the air purifier and the daylight starting to peek in the window is perfect.  Day 21 of Our Prayer Lent scripture John 7:37, tells us to satisfy our spirit, “if anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink”.  This is refreshing to my spirit as I sit here and meditate about the day that is soon to start, as I enter into the world, from my sacred abode of home. sea-2596588_1920.jpg
